The Tampa Bay Rays (57-42) defeated the Toronto Blue Jays (46-54) 7-1 on Monday evening at Rogers Centre in Toronto. With the win, the Rays snapped their skid at five games and earned their first win since the All-Star Break.
The Rays got hoe runs from Victor Mesa Jr, Cedric Mullins and Nick Fortes to power their offense to the win. Nick Martinez (9-2, 2.59) allowed one earned run on six hits in six innings of work to earn the win - he struck out none and walked only one.
