The Ottawa Senators (41-27-10) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (48-24-6) 6-2 on Tuesday night at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa to hand Tampa Bay their second straight loss.
The Lightning and Senators were tied 1-1 after two periods - Nick Paul scored the Lightning's goal in the second period. Then in the third, Ottawa outscored Tampa Bay 5-1 to take control of the game - Corey Perry scored the third period goal for the Lightning.
The Lightning now look to bounce back when they travel to Montreal to play the Canadiens on Thursday night. Puck drop between the Lightning and Canadiens is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Thursday night in Montreal.
