Why the Proposed New CFB Playoff Format Could be Unfair

Could we see a playoff format where the SEC and Big 10 both have four automatic playoff spots for the CFB Playoff? Both conferences strongly prefer, according to sources, to expand the playoff to 14 teams. In the scenario of a 14-team playoff, the SEC and Big 10 would each have four teams in the playoff while the ACC and Big 12 would each have two teams followed by the highest-ranked Group of 5 champion and then one at-large spot which, depending on the year, would most likely be Notre Dame.
