Rays Erupt In Fourth To Beat Twins

The Tampa Bay Rays (69-70) defeated the Minnesota Twins (75-64) 9-4 on Wednesday night at Tropicana Field to take a 2-1 lead in the four-game series.

This game was scoreless going into the fourth inning, when the Rays erupted for eight runs in the frame to take complete control of this game. Yandy Diaz went 2-for-4 with a homer in the fourth inning to help set the pace.

The Rays now have the chance to win the four game series against the Twins coming up on Thursday afternoon. First pitch on Thursday is scheduled for 1:10 PM - pregame coverage begins with Ronnie Lane hosting the Inside Pitch at high noon on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620, your Home of Rays Baseball.
