UCF squared off against Oklahoma for the first time ever, and the Knights made it a game that we'll never forget.
After the No. 6 ranked Sooners secured a 31-23 lead with 3:13 remaining in the game, the Knights had the opportunity to charge down the field and tie the game. After a number of good chunk-yardage plays off the arm of quarterback John Rhys Plumlee, the Knights fofund themselves in a 4th & 10 situation on Oklahoma's 12-yard line. Plumlee found a crossing Javon Baker in the end zone to cut the lead to two, but a failed 2-point conversion prevented UCF from forcing overtime.
Although the Knights fall in their 4th-straight contest and are one-of-two winless teams in the league, this game may have been the confidence boost that UCF needed heading into more Big 12 play. Brandon and I give out thoughts on the matter, as well asd bring in UCF football inside Sean Green from the Charge On! podcast for a full breakdown.
