We've seen a number of afterthought QB's have success this season in smaller sample sizes, and it makes it seem all the more idiotic to pay guys like Carson Wentz $20 plus million to be equally marginal. If you're a team that has "all of your ducks in a row", the chances of finding a Brock Purdy-like QB compliment becomes more possible.
In my mind, if you aren't paying for Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, etc..you're going to find yourself wasting valuable salary cap money.
