After Kevin Durant requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets and months of trade rumors, KD has now agreed to stay put after meeting with Nets "Governor" Joe Tsai, GM Sean Marks, and Head Coach Steve Nash (per Shams, Woj.)
There wasn't a result that would've surprised me based on Durant still being one of the best offensive players on the planet but also that he'll be turning 34 and the trade market was pretty much ruined after what the Timberwolves were willing to give up for Rudy Gobert.
The reason I say that it's the best outcome for the NBA is because it keeps Brooklyn competitive and relevant as well as keeping things pretty balanced instead of a "superteam" type move for the current NBA.
