On Sunday, Jay Glazer reported that the Houston Texans have softened their stance on what they would expect in return on a Deshaun Watson trade and also said to "keep your eyes on this situation." According to Pro Football Talk, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross would welcome a Watson trade, even with Tua on their roster. Chris Simms says Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie has "given the greenlight" as well. All things considered, gambling on a Watson trade would be one of, if not the highest risk/reward trade targets in history.
We still don't know what Watson's future is but now would be the time to trade for him considering the asking price is down. The Dolphins and Eagles apparently would give up on Tua and Jalen Hurts for a proven commodity like Watson which makes sense but I also think teams like Washington, Denver, and New Orleans could kick the tires for a top 10 QB.
In the podcast clip below, Kravitz and myself discuss who would make the best fit and why or why not we would make the trade.
