The AFC West Looks Upside Down

Through 3 weeks of the NFL season, the (1-2) Kansas City Chiefs are in the AFC West cellar just like we all imagined. After losing by 1 point in Baltimore on Sunday Night Football, the division rival Chargers came in to Arrowhead and made a statement by answering the bell in the clutch and beating the Chiefs 30-24.

In the past, teams have been known to have a "Superbowl Hangover" the following season whether they win it or lose it but the most concerning thing for Patrick Mahomes and company is their competition. The 2-1 Chargers just showed that they're ready to compete and the Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders are both undefeated at 3-0. Despite injuries at WR, Denver looks like a well-balanced team that has a strong home field advantage and Las Vegas did show they're capable of beating the Chiefs as they did last year. It will be interesting to see how this division unfolds in the coming weeks.

In the podcast below, Brandon Kravitz and myself discuss Week 3 NFL themes including rookie quarterback struggles.
