This afternoon it was announced that the Big 10, Pac-12, and ACC have formed an alliance that goes beyond college football. No papers have officially been signed but the commissioners of all three conferences have verbally agreed that they will work to promote the relationships that already exist between these conferences. This includes the upcoming Oregon/Ohio St matchup in football and the annual Big 10/ACC challenge in college hoops. It doesn't seem too wild in the short term but this could set up a "Super-Conference" in the long term.
In the segment below, Stefan and myself discuss what a Super-Conference could look like, which programs would get left out, and what it could mean for college sports going forward.
