Brandon Kravitz's Official NBA Mock Draft (1-10)

Here we go, we’ve been promising this all day long! My definitive NBA Mock Draft 1-10 because let’s be honest, you’re probably checking out mentally after that.

.Pistons- Cade Cunningham PG Oklahoma State: He’s a versatile guard who can shoot and he’s 6’7 220. He’s the total package. 20ppg in year one for the Cowboys, he’ll be really good at the pro level. Very few holes in his game. Also, Woj already announced the pick, so there’s that.

.Rockets- Jalen Green G (G-League): I’m not even sure he’s the 2nd best player in this draft but his offensive skill set wows me, and the confidence of Green to not workout ANYWHERE but Detroit and Houston tells me he knows something we don’t.

.Cavs- Evan Mobley C USC: Pretty chalky so far, but this is the most consistent selection I see in any mock draft I look at, and I look at them all. Mobley is the modern big, he’s a day-1 defender in the NBA, think of Bam Adebayo with that level of athleticism, switching ability, and some upside with what he can become offensively. He never wow’d me watching him in college, but his defensive efficiency is off the charts.

.Raptors- Scottie Barnes PF FSU: I know a lot of people (including myself) say Scottie Barnes fits exactly the type of mold of player the Magic typically draft, but I think we forget, he fits Toronto’s mold too. Barnes is another day-1 defensive dynamo who can guard practically every position. Toronto loves that type of versatility. I don’t know what kind of player he’ll be on offense, but he’s a 6th man right out of the gate.

.Magic- Jalen Suggs PG Gonzaga: I know, I’m as surprised as you are. And believe me, if this happens, I will be among the many @ Amway Center doing backflips. This is the type of building block/leader in the locker-room piece the Magic desperately need.

.Thunder- Alperen Sengun C Turkey: There’s always 1 team that comes straight out of left field in the top 10 and this international star is just the type of random player the Thunder would covet. Let’s face it, Europeans are a hot commodity in the NBA right now.

.Warriors- Jonathan Kuminga SF (G-League): This guy posseses too much upside and too much athleticism to drop any further than this. His one fatal flaw is his 3-point shot, but I think GS has enough of that to more than make up for it.

.Magic- Moses Moody SG Arkansas: I debated taking Bouknight here but he doesn’t really fit the standard mold of size and length that the Hammond/Weltman connection typically go after. Moody is your prototypical shooting guard at 6’6 211. Skilled offensive player and if the Magic walk away with Moody AND Suggs, we might just see the dawning of a new era.

.Kings- Josh Giddey PG Australia: Memphis moved up to 10 in hopes of getting Giddey (at least that’s what the reports say) but I don’t think he makes it there. Giddey looks like Pistol Pete in these highlight tapes, he’d be an interesting pair with De’Aron Fox.

.Grizzlies- Franz Wagner SF Michigan: With Giddey gone, the temptation to select Davion Mitchell will be there, he fits that Grizzlies Grindhouse mold but Ja Morant has the PG position good and locked up. The Grizz need some toughness and rebounding after losing Jonas Valanciunas in the trade with New Orleans. Franz, younger brother of Mo (currently on the Magic) is a + defender as well, that’ll help a team ranked 15th in that department last year.
