For about a month, Penny Hardaway's name has been thrown into the gauntlet to become the next head coach of the Orlando Magic.
Yesterday, he released a statement on his Instagram stating that he has elected to stay with Memphis this coming season.
Was he truly a candidate this whole time? Or was it all an off-season work?
