One of the big storylines of the 2021 NFL season will be the big names returning from injury- and there are some big ones…I’ll stick with the offensive guys…here’s my list of players that I am most excited to see return in 2021:
Saquan Barkley- tore his ACL in week two last year getting tackled out of bounds. That was after a week one where he carried the ball 15 times for 6 yards.
Joe Burrow- Tore his ACL/MCL getting sacked by the Washington front…it was week 11, and thanks to the beauty of modern medicine…he’s going to play week 1. Through week 11, he had already amassed 2600 yards and 13 TD’s.
Dak Prescott- His injury came in week 5 against the Giants…and it was one of those that looked so nasty when it happened, even Giants fans felt bad for the guy. He suffered what was called an ankle fracture/dislocation…ouch. Basically means bone fragments were breaking through the skin…yet still, he signed a lucrative 164 million dollar deal. He was MVP level good before getting knocked out of action. He was coming off a game vs Cleveland where he threw for over 500 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Christian McCaffrey- I know, I know…I’m a fanboy, it is what it is. He only played in 3 games for the Panthers last year thanks to a high ankle sprain and then a shoulder injury he sustained upon his return…so it was sort of a wash year for his career. But the dude is a baller, one of the best backs I’ve ever seen. He’s the record holder for receptions by a RB and one of only 3 players to ever rush for 1k and receive 1k yards in a single season. Welcome back CMC!
