Everytime he opens his mouth, two speak or tweet, it's always great. Cole Anthony was snubbed for the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month award. The Timberwolve's Anthony Edwards won the rookie of the month award for April averaging 21.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.6 steals in 16 games. But many believe Cole Anthony had a legitimate claim to the title with 14.1 points, 5.3 assists and 4.8 rebounds on 43.2% shooting from the field on 13 games.
According to the Rookie Wire Cole ranked first in scoring average among Eastern Conference rookies, first in field goals and second in assists. He scored in double figures in 12 of his 13 games played during the month.
What most likely kept Anthony from claiming the nod was 3-pt shooting. Flynn ended with 40.8% from beyond the arc, while Anthony notched 30% from 3-point range.
But Anthony had the perfect response to it all.
