Recap Week 13: 8- Baker Mayfield- 7- Tyreek Hill- 6- Davante Adams- 5- Russell Wilson- 4- Ben Roethlisberger- 3- Josh Allen- 2- Aaron Rodgers-Number 1!- Pat Mahomes
Week 14:
Off the list: Big Ben, Tyreek Hill, Baker Mayfield
8- Xavien Howard- Pat Mahomes had thrown 2 interceptions in 463 attempts this season, and then threw 2 to the Dolphins in 7 attempts. Xavien Howard being the recipient of one of those. He’s now gone 5 straight games with an INT. That’s how you win games.
7- Aaron Donald- Time to give the man his due, Donald is the most impressive force in the NFL. He just plugged up the Pats run game and helped hold them to 3 points. The Rams D has been really impressive in this stretch of 5 or 6 games and he is the anchor of it all. Side note: He leads the league in sacks as an interior DL, which is practically unheard of.
6- Davante Adams- A touchdown in 8 straight games now, he’s the most productive WR in the NFL game in and game out. Opposing defenses know for a fact Rodgers isn’t throwing anywhere else, they still can’t stop the guy.
5- Derrick Henry- Derrick Henry now has 4 career games with 200 rushing yards & 2 rushing touchdowns, which breaks a tie with Hall of Famers Jim Brown, Barry Sanders and LaDainian Tomlinson for the most in NFL history. He also leads the NFL with 1,532 yards rushing and is tied with Dalvin Cook @ 14 rushing TD’s.
4- Russell Wilson- A big bounce back after a loss to the Giants. Not that beating the Jets is all that impressive, but at least he helped the Seahawks do it in style. 4 TD’s and 40 points scored.
3- Josh Allen- He has truly impressed me this season, this teams goes as Allen goes, and right now he’s going. Allen and the Bills now have wins over the Steelers, Seahawks, Rams, Patriots, and Dolphins.
2- Aaron Rodgers- The model of consistency as of late, Rodgers has gone 7 of his last 8 games with at least 200 yards passing, 3 or more TD’s, and 1 or fewer INT’s. Packers now sit atop the NFC.
Number 1!- Pat Mahomes- I have no words. Even when he plays poorly he amazes me. They start down 10-0, he’s turns the ball over twice. All the momentum is on the side of Miami and what does he do? Just rattles off the next 30 points scored in the game. Unreal. Even with a 3 INT day, he’s still #2 in the league and he has 500 more passing yards than 2nd place.
