Let’s review how I did last week…3-1.
On the year: 16-17
Let's make some money!
1.Ravens -5.5 vs Titans
Perception in this case is not reality. What have we been doing all week? Burying the Ravens. We forget, because it was on Thursday night football last week, but the Titans have troubles of their own. They’ve lost 3 of their last 4 and just got man-handled by the Colts on TNF (34-17). Taylor Lewan is a top 5 LT in the NFL, on a team that wants to control the line of scrimmage and cram the rock down your throat. He’s been out during this down turn for Tennessee and remains out for the year (knee). Give me the Ravens in a strong bounce back spot.
2.Falcons +4 @ Saints
Falcons are quietly one of the hottest teams in the NFL under interim coach Raheem Morris. They come into this fresh off a bye, in the non-hostel Superdome, going up against a team that has Taysom Hill starting his first game with New Orleans. Now, I think Hill can be interesting and adding Jameis to the mix could open up the offense, but that doesn’t mean he won’t keep ATL in the game with some rookie-ish mistakes. The Saints have won their last 6, but 3 of those games were won by exactly 3 points. That 4 point # is key here, close game, I’ll take the Falcons.
3.Vikings -7 vs Dallas
I think we forget how bad the Cowboys are. And I think I know why. A) They had a bye so we actually forgot about the Cowboys. B) The last time they played, they were competitive against a sleep walking Steelers team. Minnesota on the other hand is white-hot. Winners of their last 3 with an average margin of victory @ 8pts. The Vikings have the leagues best RB this season and they get to feast on the 2nd worst run defense in the NFL. Vikings smash. Skol. Whatever they say, take the Vikings.
4.Phins -3 @ Denver
I know for a fact, with a line like this, Vegas is practically begging me to take the Dolphins. Something fishy about this one…I will admit. And I. Don’t. Care. Denver is awful, they have a turnover prone QB, who hasn’t won consistently as a pro, banged up after last week. The Dolphins are scorching hot and they’re not just winning, they’re covering. And you know what I always say…Good teams win, great teams cover. Give me the Phins -3.
Special bonus: UCF +6, this is their super bowl against Cincy. Defense has played better as of late. Dillon Gabriel can score on anyone, so even though the Bearcats allow just 12ppg, UCF will find a way to keep it close @ the Bounce House.
