Jalen Ramsey had showed up to Jags training camp last season in an armored truck indicating that he was looking for a new contract. Things quickly turned sour between Ramsey and the Jags and he was shipped off to L.A. for two first-round picks and a fourth-round pick.
This year was the final year of his rookie contract and he had made it a point not to think about a new contract.

"I can't do anything about it. I'm not worried about it. I'm trying to do my job as a football player. I'm trying to be leader on the team."
Ramsey was right not to worry about it as on Wednesday morning, the Rams decided to backup the Brinks truck giving him a 5-year extension worth $105 million with $72.1 million guaranteed at signing.
Ramsey becomes the first defensive back in NFL history to sign a deal worth $100+ million and the $71.2 guaranteed at signing is also the largest for a DB in NFL history.
