Reds Broadcaster Calls Home Run While Apologizing for Homophobic Slur

Its been a bad week for broadcasters. First it was the Hornets broadcaster accidentally tweeting the N-word and now long time Reds broadcaster Thom Brennaman has been suspended indefinitely after using a homophobic slur when he did not know the microphone was on.

Coming back from break in the Reds-Royals game, it is clear that Brennaman did not know his mic was hot and said "one of the f*g capitols of the world." The next video has the clip of him saying it.

Then later in the broadcast, Brennaman apologized and was taken off the air. While his apology and removal during a broadcast is interesting, the sickly funny part is the fact that he had to call a home run during that apology.

Oh. My. Goodness. That's pure comedy.
