FSU WR Says He's Been "Lied To Multiple Times"

Mike Norvell's tenure in Tallahassee is not off to a good start. First, star defensive lineman Marvin Wilson threatened a boycott by the players after Coach Norvell exaggerated his comments about speak with players individually regarding social issues after the death of George Floyd.

Now, wide receiver Warren Thompson took to Twitter to explain his feelings that he's ben "lied to multiple times" and how those lies from the leadership at FSU have "backed him into a corner."

Thompson did also say that he does want to play for Florida State.

This message also comes a day after teammate D.J. Matthews tweeted (and then later deleted) that he had tested positive for the coronavirus. FSU has not released the amount of players who have tested positive, citing privacy laws.

The Seminoles have previously said they believe their protocols are sound.

“It’s up to us to make sure the environment’s safe,” FSU president John Thrasher said earlier this week, “and I think we’ve done that.”
