Yannick Ngakoue wants out of Jacksonville. The Jags want to keep Ngakoue in Duval unless they can find the right offer. The team received calls about the young pass-rusher but never got any offers throughout the offseason.
Jacksonville applied their franchise tag on Ngakoue but he has yet to sign and with the deadline Wednesday at 4pm EST, there are some decisions to be made. Do the Jags hold out for a first-round pick? Do they take whatever trade offer they can get? Does Yannick Ngakoue play this year under the franchise tag? Does he sit out this year?
So many questions that need to be answered. Adam Schefter provided a little bit of an update Wednesday morning.
Could we see a last-minute deal done? Perhaps. If I had to lay money down, I'd say sitting out the 2020 season is in the plans for Yannick Ngakoue should he not be granted his wish of getting out of Jacksonville.
