The XFL Has First Player Signed to an NFL Team

The Carolina Panthers are signing the best quarterback from the XFL in P.J. Walker. In five games Walker led the Houston Roughnecks to a perfect 5-0 record while throwing for over 1,300 yards, 15 touchdowns, and just four interceptions while completing 65% of his passes. Walker had other teams interested in him as well including the Seattle Seahawks but ultimately signed with the Panthers.

Walker played under head coach Matt Rhule when they were both at Temple. Rhule was Walker's coach all four years and the two led Temple to their first ever back-to-back bowl appearances in 2015 and 2016.

He also holds a few of the Temple passing records including career passing yards (10,669), single-season passing yards (3,295), and passing touchdowns (74).
