As the league decides what to do with the #'s 8 & 24, Orlando’s Terrence Ross has changed his jersey number from No. 8 to No. 31 in honor of the late Kobe Bryant.
Back in September, Ross told us and the Athletic why he chose the #8 in the first place. “This past month, my son started a new basketball team, and the jersey he got was No. 8,” Ross told reporters in Orlando after he re-signed with the Magic. “So I was like, ‘That’s the sign for me to really try to switch it one last time.’ This time I finally got it.”
