In 2008, UCF finished 119th out 119 teams in total offense. That's last and went on to a 4-8 record that season.
Enter Charlie Taaffe.
The very next season, Taaffe helped lead UCF to an 8-5 record. Move to 2010, Taaffe implemented the "Wild Knight" offensive package and UCF went on to win the Conference USA title and then beat Georgia in the Liberty bowl for their first ever bowl win.
In 2013, UCF went 12-1 and upset the No. 5 team in the country, Baylor, in the Fiesta Bowl in a game that featured the most combined points scored in Fiesta Bowl history.
