Florida is coming off a big win at the Swamp over #7 Auburn last weekend while Florida State (coming off a bye) had a victory at home against NC State two weeks ago.
Move to this week, Florida has moved up to #7 in the polls and will take on #5 LSU in Baton Rouge while FSU heads up to South Carolina to take on #2 Clemson.
The Gators are in the second of three top 10 SEC matchups in four weeks as they hope to become national title contenders while FSU, who has played well of late, looks to keep their momentum going against a Clemson team that's struggled this season.
A win in Baton Rouge catapults the Gators into the top five at the very least and makes them legitimate playoff contenders. A win at Death Valley for the Noles would be huge for the team and head coach Willie Taggart as they look to begin a new bowl streak and keep their recent momentum going.
