The bad news is Franks is likely done for the season, the good news is, the Gators still came out with a victory thanks to a heroic performance by Kyle Trask - who did his part to make sure the Gators continued their streak of winning @ Lexington, dating back to 1986.
Here's the latest on the injury thanks to ESPN.com:
Florida Gators quarterback Feleipe Franksis likely to miss the rest of the season after dislocating his right ankle during Saturday night's 29-21 win on the road atKentucky.
"They feel pretty certain that there was a break with the dislocation and he'll be done for the season," Florida coach Dan Mullen told reporters after the game.
"I went out there, and I was with him, you know, told him we all love him, we're there for him, and he'll be all right," Mullen said. "I think the team [gathering around Franks] shows what he means to the team, and what the team thinks of him, you know as the leader of the team, and the type of guy he is, how hard he works, to go do that. And, shows a lot about him and what the team thinks.
"It really, to me, shows the respect that they have for his leadership and the love that they have for him. It's a pretty close team and these guys work hard for these things, you know. It's a tragedy when that happens."
