Manny Diaz was coaching the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach from 2016-2018 before briefly taking the job as head coach at Temple, only to then come back and coach the Hurricanes.
There's a lot of excitement that Diaz can bring the swagger and attitude back to 'The U' that has been missing for some time, when guys like Jimmy Johnson, Howard Schnellenberger, and Dennis Erickson roamed the sidelines.
Miami has not won a national championship since 2002 and they have not won any conference championships since joining the ACC. Can Manny Diaz change that or will he be just another Al Golden or Randy Shannon?
