During his redshirt freshman season at Florida, QB Feleipe Franks had an up and down season. He was benched at times, couldn't complete passes, and dealt with his head coach (Jim McElwain) getting fired in-season. That's a lot to take in for a kid at any level.
Move to his redshirt sophomore season under new head coach Dan Mullen, and he improved his game greatly. Franks nearly tripled his TD passes, cut down on the interceptions, and improved his completion percentage. He also made some big plays with his legs throughout the season. The Gators ended up beating Michigan in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl and Franks won Offensive MVP honors. He also tied Tim Tebow for most passes consecutively thrown without an interception.
All that in one season.
Now, with high expectations in Gainesville, can Feleipe Franks elevate his game to that of a Heisman Trophy candidate? We ask you to vote on our poll below.
