Top 5 Games of 2019

With the NFL releasing their schedule Wednesday, it's always fun to look at the top games of the season. With the draft still to come and all the moves that have been made, whether by trade or free agency signing, here are the top five games of the 2019 NFL season according to me:

5- Browns at Jets on MNF (Sept. 15th, Week2)- Yes, believe it or not, the Browns and Jets kick-off this list. Why? It's Baker Mayfield vs. Sam Darnold. It's Odell Beckham Jr. vs. Le'Veon Bell. It's in New York. It's on Monday night. While the Jets still have to deal with the Patriots in their division, the leap they have taken this offseason catapults them to number two in that division while the Browns have a chance to compete for a division title. These are two young teams and we should be able to see some fireworks early in the season.

4- Colts at Chiefs on SNF (Oct. 6th, Week 5)- Last time we saw Andrew Luck and the Colts in Arrowhead, it was last year in the divisional round of the playoffs. It did not go well for Andrew Luck and the Colts. Can this be a redemption game or are we going to see Patrick Mahomes put some ketchup on the Colts D as he eats them up?

3- Steelers at Jets 1 p.m. (Dec. 22nd, Week 16)- No need to adjust your eyes, you are reading this right. Le'Veon Bell against his former team and this may have some playoff implications on the line. We don't know how Lev. Bell will look with his new team after sitting out last year with the Steelers but you can be sure that he will want to show his former team what exactly they are missing out on.

2- Saints at Rams 4:25 p.m. (Sept. 15th, Week 2)- How this game isn't the Sunday Night game is beyond me (Eagles at Falcons takes that honor) but you better believe New Orleans is still holding a grudge against Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman. We all remember that blatant pass interference that was missed in the NFC Championship game that lead to the rule change that can make pass interference reviewable. While this game doesn't have as much on the line as last year, you can expect the atmosphere in L.A. to be rockin' as if it were the NFC Championship game.

1- Cowboys at Patriots 4:25 p.m. (Nov. 21st, Week 12)- Before you go, "Oh shocker, he puts the Cowboys game at number one." here me out. This is a matchup of two of the most prolific franchises (and hated) in the NFL. Dak Prescott has put up some big numbers in his first three years as QB for the Dallas Cowboys and is likely to cash-in. Is this Tom Brady's final year? Is this a potential Super Bowl preview? So many narratives for this game that this has to be the top game of the 2019 season.

Honorable mentions- Cowboys at Saints (Week 4 on SNF), Chiefs at Patriots (Week 14)
