Orlando City SC and Stéfano Pinho have mutually agreed to terminate the forward's contract and waive his rights ahead of the 2019 Major League Soccer season.
Pinho, 28, joined the club in 2018 after winning NASL Golden Ball and Golden Boot awards with Miami FC. During his year with the Lions, the Brazilian made 23 appearances, totaling 595 minutes scoring two goals.
“Stéfano is a good player who was able to transition well to MLS during his first season in the league last year, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors,” said Orlando City SC EVP of Soccer Operations Luiz Muzzi. “For us this decision opens an important position in our roster and gives us some added flexibility.”
The Lions officially kick off the MLS campaign on Saturday, March 2, against NYCFC at home for the fifth-consecutive season.
