Ahead of its inaugural 2019 USL League One season, Orlando City B signs U.S. youth national team forward and Orlando City Development Academy product Luc Granitur, pending league and Federation approval.
“Luc is a great young kid with very high potential,” OCB general manager Mike Potempa said. “He has tremendous goal-scoring ability and vision around the pitch. We’re very excited to add Luc to what we’re building with OCB.”
Granitur, 15, has played for the OCDA since he was 13. In 2017-18, Granitur scored 33 goals in 32 games for the U-15s and one goal in three games for the U-18/19s. This season, Granitur has two goals in two games with the U-16/17s and three goals in six games with the U-18/19s.
The Vero Beach, Fla., native earned his first U.S. U-16 national team call-up in June. Granitur is in 11th grade and will continue his high school education at Montverde Academy while playing for OCB.
Granitur is the second player signed to OCB after 17-year-old midfielder Jordan Bender signed on Wednesday.
