Clippers swipe right on Bumble patch deal

Bumble Logo

The LA Clippers have swiped right on a patch sponsor for their jerseys, they have done so with the dating app "Bumble" for $20 million set for 3 years. Now for those of you that are happily in a relationship and do not have a need for dating apps, let me give you the low down on Bumble. Bumble is similar to Tinder in which you match by swiping right if you're interested and swipe left if you're not. Bumble is best known for allowing women to control the conversation in dating dialogue by requiring them to message first, then expiring in 24 hours if no response.

The Clippers are calling the Bumble logo on the uniform an "empowerment badge," pledging to invest in promoting gender equality.  Whitney Wolfe Herd, founder and CEO of Bumble stated "We've had tremendous respect for the team that Steve built, The amount of women he has in leadership positions is not something you typically see in sports."

As someone who has used Bumble, I am thrilled for this partnership. I now have my love Disney sponsoring the Magic, and Bumble sponsoring the Clippers, If I can get Netflix to sponsor a team then I'll be all set.
