It was a battle of the cats over the weekend as the Jaguars took on the Panthers. This was a pretty big game for the Jaguars. Coming in winning two in a row with a backup quarterback, all the swag and all the momentum, Leonard Fournette coming off a game in which he ran for over 200 yards, and the defense playing well even without Jalen Ramsey.
All that swag and momentum went out the window when they met Christian McCaffrey. It only took 19 carries for McCaffrey to hit 176 yards on the ground and also hit over 200 yards from scrimmage.
Despite the play of McCaffrey, the Jaguars still had a chance to win it in the end but came up short.
Gene Frenette talked about why the defense got shredded the way they did. Gene also talked about why he thinks Jalen Ramsey could end up staying with the Jaguars for the entire season and then maybe get traded in the offseason.
