The Orlando Magic did not pick up the team options for Moe Wagner ($11 million) and Caleb Houstan ($2.1 million) over the weekend. The Magic still possess the Birds Rights on the players - meaning the Magic can still resign one of them, or both of them if they desire.
Are these moves to make cap space for other players in free agency? Or does the team hope to keep both Wagner and Houstan in-house on long term discount deals?
Brandon and I discussed the potential deals, as well as free agency opening at 6 p.m. on Monday on In The Zone. Check out the podcast linked below for the full segment.
