Is Duke the Gonzaga of 2025 in College Basketball?

The Duke Blue Devils have delivered on exactly what was expected this college basketball season. Led by freshman phenom Cooper Flagg, Duke is 23-3 on the season, it's led by at least 20 points in 17 of 26 games, and is set up to be a No. 1 seed in the NCAA March Madness Tournament. However, should we be fully bought in on Duke? Or is this a blue blood wearing a disguise of another college basketball powerhouse of recent history.

Gonzaga went on a run that the program had never seen - finishing inside of the AP top 10 in 9-of-11 seasons from 2012 to 2023, Despite being the favorite to cut down the nets and stand glorious at the Final Four, it never happened for the Bulldogs. This has led many fans to suspect the Zags of being really good frauds. Can cruise through a light WCC regular season schedule, but will run out of gas before winning it all.

With just four teams projected to make the tournament in ESPN's Joe Lunardi's latest bracket, it begs the question: Is Duke the Gonzaga of 2025? Brandon and I were joined by Isaac Schade from Locked On College Basketball to try and answer that question, as well as break down the top stories in the sport as we inch closer to March.
