Each and every week, I’ll give you my favorite Add of the week, a guy you can comfortably drop from your lineups, and a player you should look to sell-high on in a trade.
This is all based on what I would do, do not use it as a Bible, but more as a guide into your fantasy dealings as the week progresses.
Add ‘em- Rams WR Puka Nacua- My #1 waiver target this week because shockingly, he took the Cooper Kupp role in the Rams offense. I’m actually trying to stop myself from going overboard on Puka – but I’m not sure it’s a bad idea to just lean all the way into this – He got the Cooper Kupp workload – as a rookie. In game 1. 39% target share, and they lined him up everywhere. He’s the same size, athletic profile, from the upper Northwest like cooper – they’re the same guy in many ways – Puka, heavy investment #1 waiver target this week. Tutu Atwell is a perfect fall back option though – he’s the gadget guy in the offense – ran deeper routes – so the upside is tremendous – and I think Atwell supplements what they’re not getting in the run game.
Drop ‘em- Phins RB Devon Achane- When Jeff Wilson went onto IR, I thought maybe this was Achane’s opportunity in Miami. Nope. He was a healthy scratch on Sunday. I have no interest in rostering the 3rd RB, who they are so low on, he doesn’t even dress for the game, on a team that has zero interest in running the football. All the way out until further notice.
Try and Swap ‘em- 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk- Its not that I don’t like Aiyuk as a talent, in fact, I think he’s awesome. But with how bad so many of the great WR’s played in the NFL this week, this could be a great opportunity to upgrade at the position. You could probably turn Aiyuk into Tee Higgins or Davante Adams in a 2 for 1. I’d do that all day.
