Waiver Wire Week 11:

Real winners never stop mining for gold. That’s exactly what we’re doing here. Maybe your hanging on by a thread, maybe you’ve been ravaged by injuries, navigating through bye weeks. No matter the case, let’s get after it, let’s find you some fantasy points.

QB:

Derek Carr- 42 points last time he went up against the Chiefs (week 5), expecting that might be asking for a bit much, but even half of that is worth it given he’s a late waiver add. Carr was pacing to put a great season together, but the last 3 weeks have been just brutal. 14, 17, and 7 fantasy points. Expect Carr to get back on track this week, I figure he’ll either A) Shock the world again or B) Be chasing points.

Kirk Cousins- Add him to the list of names I’d rather start than Taysom Hill. Cousins is averaging 24ppg over his last 4. He’s got 2 elite options to throw the ball to in Theilen and Jefferson and you can’t forget about the occasional dump off to Dalvin Cook. Dallas is a mess and while they are more susceptible to a ground attack, Cousins should be able to get the ball in the end-zone enough to make it worth your while.

RB:

Devin Booker- In all honesty, I’m hoping if you needed a RB you already grabbed one of the many that were available to you this week. Ahmed, Ballage, Hines, Burkhead…all long gone by now. But hey, Booker is worth a look. We can’t get too picky and we also can’t look past his production. 12 and 21 PPR fantasy points the last 2 weeks. In these last 2 games, 3 touchdowns, 24 carries, and a whopping 6.8 YPC. You can definitely do worse than that.

Samaje Perine- Looks like Mixon may be out longer than expected and all the work can’t go to Gio alone and last week, he was actually the more effective rusher going up against Pittsburgh’s stout run defense (7 carries for 48 yards). Keep in mind, Washington allowed the 4th most rush yards to RB’s over the last 2 weeks.

Adrian Peterson- Swift is out with a concussion and it’ll be up to AP and Kerryon to carry the load. I trust AP more, given the way he’s been running the football this year.

WR:

Jalen Reagor- The Eagles are starving for someone to help Carson Wentz in some way, shape, or form. Who better than the WR they drafted in the first round? Reagor’s played in 2 games so far this season and he’s been involed in both. 6 and 7 targets in his first 2 starts with 1 score. Reagor is a decent add and a great stash, as we’ve seen many rookies in past breakout after the week 10 mark.

Marvin Hall- Sometimes matchup is everything and while Hall’s workload leaves some to be desired, he does make the most out of what he is given. Hall has either scored or gone over 100 yards receiving in 2 of his last 3 outings. Golladay is missing more time with a hip injury and Stafford will likely take some shots deep against a bad Panthers secondary.

Mecole Hardman- Hardman has a good history against the Raiders (albiet in just his 2nd season) but this feels like another potential breakout. Watkins isn’t yet back in the lineup and Hardman can be trusted more than you think. He’s had 3 games this season with double digit fantasy points, but he’s yet to score less than 7. He’s involved and always a threat to score at any moment.

TE-

Drew Sample- The tight end position is tough to trust this year outside of a couple of names. Sample should at least get you something. Last week he finished 7th in routes run at the tight end positon (according to PFF.com) and it seems as though when Burrow does well, so does Sample, and I think this could be a good day for Burrow against a bad Washington secondary.

DST:

Vikings- I’m not often someone who touts projections but when your surfing the wire on a Sunday, you take whatever info you can get. For what it’s worth, the Vikings have the 2nd highest projected point total according to CBSsports.com. While Minnesota’s defense has been far from good this year, the team is red-hot, and speaking of red…have you seen Andy Dalton play lately? Fire them up with confidence.
