Many fans were hoping to see UCF in the Gasparilla Bowl and they got their wish. Kind of. While UCF is playing in the Gasparilla Bowl, fans wanted to see them play one of the other in-state teams, because it is a matchup likely that we would not see outside of a bowl.

Instead, UCF will be playing Marshall on December 23rd and FSU will play Arizona State, Florida will play Virginia, and Miami will take on Louisiana Tech.
