Seattle's NHL team will make it's debut in 2021, but today they decided who was going to lead them to that debut. Ron Francis, former GM of the Carolina Hurricanes from 2014-2018, has been hired as the newest expansion team's first ever general manager.
Francis was a fantastic player with a 23 year career in the NHL which included two Stanley Cup wins. Francis when asked about this opportunity said, "We have a blank canvas. It's going to be a challenge and a lot of work, but I'm looking forward to the opportunity."
