AEW has come out swinging, literally. It's been years since wrestling fans have seen a weapons shot to the head in any capacity on WWE TV, but on only the second show, AEW has done just that and it went poorly.

The chair wrapped around Cody's head tearing his skin away from his skull in the back. It forced him to get 12 staples, but he was not concussed. To say that fans reacted poorly might be an understatement. There are outliers but many fans were not happy seeing this kind of chair shot on TV.

ECW Original the Blue Meanie also weighed in on the situation.
