"You just can't imagine this happening in Major League Baseball."

"You just can't imagine this happening in Major League Baseball." - Orioles Announcer Gary Thorne

Gleyber Torres is a very good baseball player. He was the AL Rookie of the Year last season and is batting .302 with 12 HR's this season. He's a good fielder and the Yankees are happy to have him.

But when he faces the Orioles, Torres goes into God Mode.

You know those 12 HR's on the year? 10 of those have come against the Orioles. In fact, he's had four multi-home run games against Baltimore THIS SEASON. That makes him one of four players to ever hit four multi-home run games against the same team in the same season. The last person to do that was Roy Sievers of the 1955 Washington Senators. Oh, and to put the cherry on top, five of his six multi-home run games have come against the O's.

Torres is also only the fifth Yankee to get double digit homers against a single team in a season since 1961. He's also knocking on history's door at Camden Park. the all-time record for most dingers by a visiting player at one ballpark is 10, Torres has seven.

But that's just his home run numbers.

Torres also has an 11-game hitting streak and is batting an incredible .405 during that span. He plays the Orioles eight more times this year. Who knows what his numbers will be by then!
