In St. Louis there was a shooting killing 8th grade football star Jaylon McKenzie. McKenzie was already receiving offers from colleges from Missouri and Illinois. He wanted to grow up to be a football player in California, playing for the Chargers or the Rams.
He was shot and killed at a party at 11:40 PM Saturday night.
A fight broke out at the party and when Jaylon left the house, a stray bullet hit him and a girl at the party. They were taken to the hospital and Jaylon died shortly after arriving. The girl is in critical condition still.
Ezekial Elliott of the Dallas Cowboys reached out to the family to cover the funeral costs. Elliott is a Missouri native and wanted to help as soon as he heard about this tragedy.
