Store Brand Values vs Premium Options in Fantasy Football Drafts

Few things have tickled me more since Stefan and I started working together day to day than when he called Mac Jones ‘store brand Brady’. So I’ve had this one cooked up since then…I want to give you value brand/store brand fantasy options. You’ve got your premium guy, then there’s the cheaper alternative that could be just as good and do the same types of things.

·Josh Jacobs is store brand Nick Chubb (5th vs 26th)

·Kenyan Drake is store brand Kareem Hunt (47th vs 108th)

·Brandon Aiyuk is store brand CeeDee Lamb (36th vs 64th) – CeeDee played in 4 more games, had only 200 more yards, they scored the same TD’s, and both played with bad back up QB’s last year. We presume they’ll be the #1 but that is not confirmed on the field yet.

·Chase Edmonds is store brand Austin Ekeler (13th vs 61st) – both better at the receiver aspect of their game than running, never been the lead guy going into a season, and their QB’s are going to hog a lot of their fantasy production.

·Michael Carter is store brand Javonte Williams (63rd vs 90th) – both back ups who have the ability to take over their backfields at any point, both play on bad teams, both ran for over 1k yards at UNC last year.

·Antonio Brown is store brand Julio Jones (41st vs 94th) – both past their prime, both the 3rd option on their teams offense, both still have some life left in them.

·Chase Claypool is store brand Mike Evans (33rd vs 68th) – both will live and die by the TD’s they catch from their old QB’s

·Jaylen Waddle is store brand Tyler Lockett (113th vs 55th) – both are the gadget slot/deep threat on their teams – they’ll give you boom weeks and bust weeks and it will be impossible to figure out when to put them in your lineup
