Top 10 "Must-Watch" Games of the Upcoming NFL and CFB Season (Part 2)

Yesterday we unveiled the first crop of the TOP 10 NFL/COLLEGE FOOTBALL games to look forward to in the ’21 season – Games 10 through 6 – Today, as promised, the unveiling of games 5 through 1. If you want a recap, check it out here.

Shall we review?

5- Phins vs Jags in week 6 in London- Two future stars of the sport square off for an epic showdown across the pond. Trevor Lawrence vs Tua. And the game is on first thing in the morning, a 9:30am kickoff to start your Sunday festivities, c’mon. We are usually subjected to the least interesting teams in the NFL with these London games, but I would make the argument that these two teams are two of the 5 most interesting teams heading into this year. Plus, this is a rematch of the 2019 National Championship. 44-16 Clemson beat Bama and while both Tua and Trevor played well, Trevor was definitely the better player that day. A chance at redemption is coming up in the Queen’s backyard.

4- Cincinnati @ Notre Dame on October 2nd- Maybe I need to get my head checked that I have 2 Cincinnati games inside my top 10, but this one is going to be an epic clash, and as someone who is an AAC truther, this is as big as it gets. Cincy has a real shot to make the CFB Playoff this year and if they’re going to do that, this is the game that can make it happen. Cincy has Indiana, ND, and UCF in a 4 week stretch- brutal. But ND coming in highly ranked with all that prestige, this could be one of those games we don’t soon forget if Cincinnati can grab the W.

3- Bucs @ Patriots week 4 of the NFL season- Well this was a layup to get on the top 10. Brady vs Belichick. Do I need to explain any further? Tom Brady has defeated every team in the NFL in his 20 years in the league, except 1. New England. Well, he gets the chance here. And one of the things I love about this contest is that its in New England, I’ll be curious to see how the fans react to Tom hurling TD’s.

2- Georgia vs Clemson on September 4th in Charlotte- A top 5 matchup in primetime on the opening weekend of the college football season…SIGN. ME. UP. This is going to have a big fight feel to it. 2 mega-programs going head-to-head that we typically don’t see face one another. They last time these two teams met was in 2014. JT Daniels started the last 4 games of the season for the Bulldogs and went unbeaten in the process. Meanwhile, Clemson is breaking in a new QB that looks like a Big Ben/Cam Newton hybrid. DJ Uiagalelei, he played in spurts last year and the talent was on full display, but this will be the first time he’s “the guy” for Clemson. This one will be fun.

1-Cowboys @ Bucs week 1/game 1 of the NFL season- Not only does this game have gobs of storylines and intrigue for obvious reasons, it’s also the first game of the NFL season. Hard to beat that. But on top of it, you’ve got the Bucs raising the banners, Prescott’s return, and all of the hype surround the Bucs in general as we get our first real look @ them. It’ll also be the first NFL game we’ve seen at full capacity since the Super Bowl of 2020.
