July 1st 2021 is a date that will be forever relevant to College Sports fans everywhere because for the first time in history, athletes could sign deals where they profit off of their name, imagine, or likeness. One of the central figures to that landmark occasion was kind enough to join us on the show: Mike Murphy of Murphy Auto Group…you might of heard of a guy named D’Eriq King…he signed on with Murphy Auto Group day 1. Why do we support NIL?
There are many great reasons:
- We need to acknowledge that players are the asset, not the association.
- Actions speak louder than words. We are businessmen first and the benefit to our newMiamibased company would not be possible without D'Eriq, and other players to be named later.
- ChiefJustice Kavanaughsaid it best, the NCAA would be an extremely illegal company in any other business realm.
- This is the opportunity for college athletes to be rewarded for their hard-work and efforts throughout their career.
