Carolina has traded quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to the Denver Broncos for a sixth round draft pick. However, according to sources within the Broncos organization, this move does not take Denver out of the QB market this weekend.
That is somewhat alarming, but understandable, as Denver may be setting themselves up for the future and gaining Bridgewater as a safety net just in case things with Drew Lock go south fast.
This gives Bridgewater an opportunity at new life. The thought that he would have significant playing time in Charlotte was far fetched after the Panthers picked up Sam Darnold in the offseason.
