Should Gators be Concerned They are Ranked No. 5 in the SEC in Recruiting?

Gators fans may not be happy with how the year ended, but for most of the season we saw an improved Gators team in the hunt for the SEC and even were considered National Champion contenders. Gator fans do not want to head back the other direction, but they may have something to worry about after this recruiting season has finished.

According to 24/7 Sports the Gators rank 5th in the SEC. They trail Alabama (obviously), Georgia, LSU, and Texas A&M. The thing that is most worrisome is the hallowed five star recruits. Of course, Bama came away with seven, but LSU who was AWFUL last season, grabbed one more than UF and Georgia grabbed three more than the Gators.

Five stars aren't everything though, right? Sure but the Gators got beat in other categories as well. Overall average commit rating? Two points less than TAMU and LSU and a whopping three point five points less than Georgia. Does this mean that all hope is lost? Of course not but it means they have more work to do.
