Congrats to Devonta Smith for winning the 2020 Heisman Trophy Award but we are a very short attention span society and we are already onto the next!
Sportsbooks have already unveiled the front-runners for next year's Heisman, and while some of them are sure to be candidates, the real list provides a more accurate look @ how this will likely go.
1- Alabama's starting QB (Likely Bryce Young, but it was also supposed to be Bryce Young this year and we saw how that turned out)
2- Alabama's #1 WR. We're talking about a school that just in the last 3 years or so has pumped a dozen WR's into the FIRST ROUND of the NFL Draft, you know another good one is around the bend.
3- Clemson QB DJ Uiagalelei. We'll figure out how to pronounce his name eventually but I'm sure he'll be in NY a year from now.
4- USC QB Kedon Slovis. He finished 2020 strong and has earned enough stock to get on the list early, which is always helpful. Plus, if they're not going to give Reggie Bush his Heisman back, you can at least give it to another Trojan.
5- OU QB Spencer Rattler. Lincoln Riley pumps out elite dual threat QB's like Jimmy Dean pumps out ready to eat breakfast bowls. He's sure to be on the list.
6- UCF QB Dillon Gabriel- He will be on the outside looking in because UCF perpetually gets no respect but he'll have his face pressed against the glass for sure, his 2021 season will be one big highlight reel.
