Last Minute Waiver Adds for Week 13 in Fantasy Football

Waiver Wire Week 13:

We need to be honest about what the waiver wire is at this point, this is a tool of either necessity or a search for last minute upside. The days of fine tuning your roster have passed, it’s crunch time, it’s win or go home time.

QB:

Baker Mayfield- Many people may point you in the direction of Mitch Trubisky today, but I am not going to be that guy. Baker is coming off a 22 point fantasy performance and he’s going to have to be good again if the Browns want to beat the Titans. Tennessee has found themselves in shootout after shootout this year, and Baker could be the beneficiary of a very favorable game script here.Only 1 QB all year attempted less than 29 passes against the Titans porous pass D.

RB:

Benny Snell- If you’re lucky enough to still find him on the wire, scoop him up. He’s a must-play against the Washington Football Team if Connor can’t suit up on Mon. night.

Devontae Booker- Throw out the Raiders last game where they only mustered 6 points against the Falcons, prior to that, Booker was on quite the tear. This has really become a 1-2 punch in Vegas and now Jacobs is on the injury report. Prime opportunity for Booker to continue to steal work in the Sin City.

Cam Akers- If he’s out there, scoop him up. The Rams have been non-committal all year in anointing a bell-cow RB, but it doesn’t mean it won’t happen. Upside, upside, upside…Akers is wreaking with it, as evident by his 63 yard TD scamper last week.

WR:

Collin Johnson- Last week he saw a season high in snaps, targets, routes run, catches, and yards. Johnson is clearly someone the Jags are trying to take a look at, and he’s got talent for days. Could be a league winner type, worth stashing if you have room.

Denzel Mims- I’m only going to say this one more time, go get you some Mims. Double digit fantasy points in 3 straight games, double digit targets in 2 straight games.

Gabe Davis- Quietly, it seems like he gets in the end-zone every week. Now he gets to run as the #2 option in a high-octane pass offense with John Brown headed to the IR.

TE-

Jordan Akins- Somebody has to be the beneficiary of the 6 to 10 targets per game Will Fuller was getting. My guess is most of those go to Brandin Cooks, but a lot of them end up in the hands of Jordan Akins. Watson favors his playmaking TE and I think he’ll receive the biggest boost. No one will replace Fuller, but Akins could see a bump.

DST:

Raiders- They’re playing the Jets. ‘Nuf said.NY has scored 10 points or less in 4 of their last 6.
