Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports is reporting that the Magic and Rockets discussed a package that would've sent Russell Westrbook to the Magic but talks never progressed. Tweet below.
We've been clamoring for this (or at least I have) for weeks now, as it looks like the Rockets are headed for a re-tooling of sorts. It's only logical to think they'll want to move off of Westbrook's exorbitant deal. The Magic could use some star power, who knows, maybe a deal can still get done.
In other news: Brian Windhorst reports that the Magic “are trying to go younger” and have made Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier available in trade talks. Also, Fournier (rumor has it) wants to find his way to the Clippers, Suns, or Nuggets. Juicy!
