Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Priorities for Week 8!

Drafting is nice, but if you really want to dominate your fantasy league. You have to OWN the waiver wire! And if you want to know who to pick up, well, you’ve come to the right place…because I am the Waiver Wire Wizard, the Pick-Up Prince, the Infallible Fabulous FAAB.

Let’s talk priorities for week 8!

1.Chase Edmonds- Now, this guy isn’t available in any league I play in but if he’s available in yours, go and get him. In all honesty, I think he’s looked like the better back in Arizona. Drake is set to miss several weeks.Edmonds is super involved in the passing game. Over his career, when Edmonds has seen at least 11 touches he has averaged 18.1 fantasy points per game. LEAGUE WINNING UPSIDE, that’s what we’re looking for.

2.Brandon Aiyuk- We’ve seen a lot of success from rookie WR’s and QB’s this year and Aiyuk is part of that mix, now, you figure he’s set to see an uptick in targets with Deebo Samuel out for a couple weeks. Aiyuk saw a season-high eight targets back in Week 3 when Samuel was inactive and finished Week 7 with six catches for 115 yards on seven targets.

3.DeeJay Dallas- This should be Carlos Hyde, it should even be Travis Homer…both of whom stepped in for Chris Carson when he went down with an injury on Sunday night. But…they have injuries of their own. Seattle RB’s have a lot of room to run, considering defenses are focused so heavily on Wilson killing them. Dallas (out of the U) is decent and should make for a good bye-week replacement.

4.Zack Moss- This is a true split backfield in Buffalo and I know Moss’s production hasn’t been great, but A) He’s a rookie B) He’s had injuries, but he’s the better back to own. Plus, the Bills play the Pats this week, who have allowed an average of 157 yards to RB’s over the last 2 games.

5.Rashard “Hollywood” Higgins- I like anyone with the nickname Hollywood. Higgins stepped up big time in Odell’s absence, 6 catches 110 yards. And how about this… On targets to Higgins, Mayfield has generated a 129.4 passer rating, by far the highest of any WR he has targeted since entering the league. (You can also go ahead and add his teammate Harrison Bryant if you need a TE).

6.Scotty Miller- 6 catches 109 yards and a score. Could be flukey, we’ve tried to go down this road before, but something is telling me to buy in this time. No Godwin this week, so Scotty SHOULD be a plug and play.

7.QB’s Galore!

a.Teddy Bridgewater- Falcons allow the most points to opposing QB’s.

b.Baker Mayfield- 5 TD’s is nothing to sneeze at…good matchup against the Raiders…and who knows, maybe he is better without OBJ.

c.Tua Time!- That’s right, the new starting QB of the Miami Dolphins, now available on a waiver wire near you. Follow the trends…Burrow, great. Herbert, great. It’s Tua’s turn now.
